On Sunday, two-time Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones will have one final time to make her impact felt in her quest to make the United States bobsledding team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Jones is one of three push athletes that will compete in a World Cup event in Igls, Austria on Sunday, which will come just before the Olympic team is expected to be announced.
Here are the pairings for Sunday’s event:
USA-1 – driver Elana Meyers; push athlete Aja Evans.
USA-2 – driver Jamie Greubel; push athlete Lauryn Williams
USA-3 – driver Jazmine Fenlator; push athlete Lolo Jones
Meyers and Evans have the most experience together, but Jones and Fenlator have chemistry as well. Jones has worked with Fenlator more than any other driver, since she began her bobsledding run.
Katie Eberling is also in the running for one of the push athlete spots on the Olympic team. She is the only push athlete to have Olympic experience, so it will be interesting to see if the selection committee believes that will be a valuable addition to the team.
