After going just 1-4 in his last five fights and currently being on a two-fight losing streak, UFC flyweight Scott Jorgensen needs a win if he wants to remain in the top organization in mixed martial arts.
In March, Jorgensen will get his chance to get a win under his belt, when he faces off against Brazilian Jussier Formiga at a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event in Natal, Brazil, on March 23. MMA Informativo was the first to report the news.
In his most recent fight, Formiga suffered a first-round knockout loss to Joseph Benavidez.
Formiga entered the UFC as one of the top flyweights in the world, but he has struggled to find his rhythm inside of the octagon. He will attempt to do so in front of his fellow countrymen.
Jorgensen vs. Formiga becomes the third bout added to the event.
A middleweight bout between Cezar Ferreira vs. C.B. Dollaway and light heavyweight scrap featuring Fabio Maldonado vs. Gian Villante have previously been announced for the card.
