Although Stanford has lost a bunch of offensive and defensive talent to the NFL in the past couple of weeks, Cardinal fans can rest easy knowing that both the team’s leading receiver from 2013 — Ty Montgomery — and the team’s leader in interceptions — Jordan Richards — have decided to return for their senior seasons.
The announcement was made on the Stanford football Twitter account:

Montgomery was the Stanford’s most consistent receiver in 2013, catching 61 passes for 958 yards and 10 touchdowns. (For some perspective, Devon Cajuste finished second on the team with 28 receptions for 642 yards and five touchdowns.) His return is a boon for quarterback Kevin Hogan, who made huge strides in his first full year as a starter.
Richards returning is just as big of a deal on the other side of the ball. The safety, who intercepted three passes in 2013, finished fifth on team with 68 tackles.
