Critics Choice Awards 2014: Matthew McConaughey wins Best Actor (Video)

If you tried to tell anyone ten years ago that Matthew McConaughey would be blazing a path to winning an Oscar, you would have been laughed out of town. You probably would have been laughed out of this galaxy and into the emptiness of space as nothing McConaughey was doing in the 2000s suggested he’d ever be a respectable actor.

But something happened in 2010 and now McConaughey has more impressive films under his belt in the last three years than he managed his whole career. The latest of which has McConaughey in line to win an Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.

He has competition in the Best Actor category at the Oscars but so far he’s beat everyone out for at the Golden Globes as well as the Critics Choice Awards. His career revival has been a ender to watch and it’s hard to find anyone rooting against him this late in the game.
