Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov is a man you don’t want to cross. Because of that, I’m not going to make fun of him for not making any changes when the Nets were getting dusted by some of the league’s worst teams early in the season. And I’m also not going to begrudge him for suggesting the Nets can still win an NBA Championship because frankly, I don’t want to end up with cement shoes.
Ah screw it. I’m a strong swimmer.
The Nets owner opened up in a candid interview with Rob Boone recently, suggesting that while the struggles were understandably difficult, he still thinks the team can win an NBA Championship.
Mikhail Prokhorov said he never came close to making any changes when
#Nets were struggling, thinks they can win title “if the stars align.”
That’s going to take some type of alignment.
In fairness, Brooklyn has went 6-4 in their last ten, but so have the Sacramento Kings. We’ll see if the Nets can sustain their improved play or if Prokhorov can purchase enough celestial contracts to align the stars in the sky moving forward.
