The good news keeps rolling in for Philadelphia 76ers ‘rookie’ Nerlens Noel.
Just a day after reports surfaced suggesting that Noel (who has missed the entire season so far) was cleared for contact, the former Kentucky Wildcat decided to lend some good will to a 16-year-old in Lexington.
Braxton Upthegrove, a Henry Clay High School student is currently awaiting a kidney transplant and wanting to do something good for his young fan, Noel surprised the HCH basketball team manager with a special video message.
With Noel being in-season right now, he unfortunately couldn’t make it to the game but he did offer to fly Upthegrove along with his family to Philadelphia where they’ll watch the Sixers take on the Miami Heat and hang with Noel before the game.
“Braxton, why don’t you and your mom come join me in just a few days to watch my team play the Miami Heat,” said Philadelphia 76er’s Nerlens Noel. “Be my guest.”
Upthegrove and his Mother are flying to Philadelphia today where they’ll catch the 76ers-Heat game on Friday and according to Noel, spend the weekend playing video games together.
