Late Thursday night, Ken Rosenthal reported that the latest client represented by rapper-mogul Jay-Z is the New York Yankees’ C.C. Sabathia.

Jay-Z, who made headlines earlier in 2013 when former Yankee Robinson Cano revealed that he had left Scott Boras for Jay-Z, is making a case to unseat Boras as the king of baseball agents. Cano signed a massive $240 million contract with the Seattle Mariners earlier this off season with the help of Roc Nation.

Roc Nation also represents the NBA’s Kevin Durant and the NFL’s Victor Cruz. Under his former agents, Legacy Agency, Sabathia has earned $146,357,142. In 2013, Sabathia recorded a 14-13 record with a 4.78 ERA and gave up a career high 112 earned runs over 32 starts.

Chris Cotillo (@ChrisCotillo) reports that Legacy Agency will, in fact, collect the full commission on the remainder of Sabathia’s contract. The rest of CC’s contract amounts to four more years and $96 million.
