Arbitration: Twins, Trevor Plouffe reach a deal

The Minnesota Twins have come to terms with their third baseman Trevor Plouffe, avoiding arbitration.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that Plouffe will receive $2.35 million, going into his age-27 season. Plouffe played in the most games of his career in 2013, 129, compiling 522 plate appearances, hitting a .254/.309/.392. He made $520,000 in 2013, so this is a considerable raise for the third baseman.
