Blake Griffin has made a career out of dunking the ball. Not only did it get him noticed at Oklahoma and then drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers, but his power to slam dunk has given him countless endorsements in his short career so far.
But while it’s spectacle to watch, it has led to some controversy from people claiming it takes away from the game. Griffin’s teammates tend to get too wrapped up in his dunking ability, and they have the media and fans to blame for that.
Still, when Griffin powers home a slam dunk, it’s a thing of beauty and we saw an example of that Friday night against the New York Knicks.
His dunks may be a distraction to his team and may make him seem more valuable than he is, but slam dunks sell tickets in the NBA and Griffin as sold a lot of those.
