The Chicago Cubs clearly want a change.

For the first time in modern history, they have a mascot. In addition to that, they are planning on a massive renovation of the famed Wrigley Field. And as if that wasn’t enough, the Cubs will be debuting a new uniform this season.

All of the changes are likely a bit stressful for the Cubs faithful who aren’t exactly used to new things (or winning), but it appears the Cubs are doing what they can to change both.

As to the new uniform, it will be a road alternate according to Uni Watch and will feature a blue ‘CUBS’ wordmark with white piping and red letters.

The jersey isn’t all that different from some previous Cubs uniforms we’ve seen in the past, but the subtle changes are nice. It has a bit more of a modern feel to it but maintains the vintage Cubs look we’ve grown to love over the years.

Looks a little like the Dodgers road uniform unfortunately, but a bit difficult to avoid that given the similar color schemes.
