Knicks lose Amare Stoudemire, Kenyon Martin for at least two weeks

During the New York Knicks loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night, they watched big men Amare Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin go down with ankle injuries. Both players needed to undergo further evaluation on Friday and now we know the timetable for their return.

“I just heard that they’re going to be out at least two weeks,” Knicks head coach Mike Woodson said.

Because of the injuries to their key rotation players, the team will need to rely heavily on bench players Cole Aldrich and Jeremy Tyler, who will have the opportunity to impress their coach and earn a bigger role when the team is back to 100 percent.

Now, there will be even more pressure on the shoulders of star Carmelo Anthony.
