LeBron James takes hard foul from Evan Turner (Video)

There are stupid fouls in the NBA and then there’s Evan Turner close-lining LeBron James like a kid who was mad at him during a pickup game at recess. That’s what happened on Friday night when the Heat were in town to play the 76ers, as LeBron James’ easy bucket was interrupted by Evan Turner.

Not only was the foul obvious and stupid on Turner’s part, but it was preceded by James Anderson shoving him from behind in the most half-hearted way ever.

But it was Turner’s idiotic hard foul that drew the whistle and sent LeBron to the line.

It’s dumb to foul LeBron James on shots like that, because the whole point of doing so is to make the player “earn” his points. With LeBron James, you’re just giving him an uncontested open shot — two of them in this case.

Kudos on the foul Evan Turner, it was a great strategy.
