NFC Championship Game: Mariners and Giants make a bet on Seahawks-49ers game

When the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks square off in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday from Seattle more than a trip to the Super Bowl will be on the line as the cities baseball teams have made an interesting wager involving their mascots.

If the Seahawks are able to fend off the visiting 49ers then Lou Seal will have to post a picture going “Feast Mode on some Skittles,” which doesn’t sound all that bad to be honest.

If the 49ers can go into the home of the 12th man and knock off Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch then Mariner Moose is going to have a post a picture of him “Kaepernicking.”

“Kaepernicking” refers to the celebration done after the 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kisses his bicep after scoring a touchdown.

When mascots are involved there are no losers, only winners, and in what promises to be a fantastic game on Sunday a little city pride is on the line and the chance for a budding mascot rivalry as rich as the NFL version.
