I am sure by now that you have heard of the Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter that was included on the Blu-Ray for the Marvel epic Iron Man 3. Well, as it turns out ABC, the same station that brings you Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is in the works of bringing Agent Carter to the small screen in the form as a series. Deadline is reporting that Reaper creators Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas have been brought on to the project.
Now, as you can imagine, the details on this project are incredibly scarce due to the high level of Security surrounding the project. I mean, we can’t all be Agent Coulson after all.
According to Deadline’s sources, the duo has been brought on to write for the series as well as Executive Produce. At this point, no one a Marvel has confirmed the signing.
As you may already know, the Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter saw the return of Captain America’s girlfriend Peggy Carter, played in the franchise by Hayley Atwell. It chronicles her life as a up and coming secret agent after her boyfriend becomes incased in ice.
It really comes as no surprise that ABC would be looking to bring another Marvel show to their network. Since its premiere, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been one of the network’s highest rated shows.
There is currently no word on when the series could debut, or who will be brought on in the means of cast; however, we will keep you updated on any official confirmation or casting news and updates as they become available.
