There is plenty of anticipation for season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter, which will feature 16 women from the UFC’s new strawweight division. In an interesting twist, the winner of this show will not only be the TUF tournament champion, but also the inaugural UFC strawweight champion.
The eleven women who have already been announced for the cast are some of the brightest stars from Invicta FC, but there is also another prominent Invicta veteran that plans on trying out for the show.
Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Jessica Penne, who used to fight at 115-pounds, is leaving her schedule open as she prepares to make a run on the next installment of TUF.
Penne revealed her plans during a brief Twitter exchange with Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com:
@arielhelwani im not sure…I’m going up 115 to tryout for tuf

Whether or not Penne makes the call remains to be seen, but it is hard to imagine she would not be one of the most talented fighters at the try outs.
Add in a personality that will shine on the reality platform stage and you would have to believe Penne is not only deserving of a spot on the show, but one of the final five cast members who will be announced before the season premiere.
