‘The Walking Dead’ New Trailer for the Mid-Season Premiere (Video)

We are finally under a month from the Mid-Season premiere of the hit AMC original series The Walking Dead. Today, AMC released a new trailer for the upcoming premiere.

In the background is an ominous version of the song “Bad Moon Rising.” Personally, I think this kind of sets the tone for the remainder of the season. Each of them, with a few exceptions, has been forced to go their separate ways. Unfortunately, this does not change the fact that they are still stuck in the zombie apocalypse. Now, without the strength of their combined unit, they must all make their way through the struggle for survival in the worst of all ways, alone.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the struggles that each of them is going through on their respective paths. While they are not together right now, sisters Maggie and Beth have to cope with the loss of their father Hershel, who was unceremoniously beheaded by The Governor in the Mid-Season Finale entitled “Too Far Gone.”

Michonne, on her own once again is struggling just to stay alive.

And then we have Rick and Carl. While I have never been the biggest fan of the young Carl, over the last few episodes, he has shown a lot of growth. Unfortunately, this is because he has seen things that no child should ever be forced to see, and has been forced by life to grow into a man at a very young age. At some point, I almost feel like it is Carl who is keeping his father, Rick whole.

In the trailer, we hear a quote that sets the premise for the remainder of the season.

“I know we’ll never get things back to the way they used to be. It’s no gonna be easy, but we’re not too far gone. We’re survivors.”

Here is a look at the new trailer for the mid-season premiere of the AMC original series The Walking Dead.
