Arsenal got a win over Fulham to stay atop the table. Manchester City won as well to stay one point behind the club in the table and depending on what happens in Liverpool’s game against Aston Villa and Chelsea’s Sunday match against Manchester United, the table could remain just as tight atop the table after the weekend as before.
The title is still a close race, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger thinks there are as many as six teams competing for the title.
“Man City is a good team as well so that makes the race even more interesting,” Wenger said, via NBC Sports. “There are five or six teams who will fight for the Championship. From our side we just need to be consistent.”
The five or six teams would also include Everton and Tottenham Hotspur while excluding Manchester United if you were going strictly by the table. United in seventh could contend and go on a run, and Wenger could be including them over the struggling Spurs despite the table standings.
