With the college football season now out of the way, ESPN’s College GameDay now moves its show to the basketball hardwood as Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Jalen Rose take over the show.

Today, the show emanated from the famed Palestra in Philadelphia.

As usual, they ran the State Farm shooting contest and first up was LaSalle student, Ryan Sees.

Now obviously, we’ve seen our share of close calls when it comes to contests like these. Sometimes someone comes so close that you can’t help but cringe at the fact that they came so close to winning the ultimate prize.

Yeah, you didn’t have to worry about that with Sees as he never really came remotely close to putting that ball in the basket. Actually, the more attempts that he took within the 18-second span, his shot seemed to keep getting further from the actual goal of putting it in the hoop.

It was an embarrassing moment, for sure. I hope he didn’t have any hopes of walking on to the LaSalle basketball team any time soon.
