Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have completed the loan signing of Brazilian midfielder Anderson on loan from Manchester United.
The 25-year old international told the club’s TV channel that he wanted to help Fiorentina to qualify for the Champions League
“I was happy at Manchester for seven or eight years, it was a big club for me … but now it’s a new challenge and the time to change. Fiorentina only missed out on Champions League qualification by two points last season, so this year I want to help them get into the Champions League.”
Fiorentina are currently five points behind Napoli in the race for the Champions League, and 15 points behind league leaders Juventus.
Anderson isn’t the only new face at the club, with striker Alessandro Matri joining the club as cover for first choice forwards Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez, both of whom are sidelined with knee problems.
