Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the biggest star in the sport of boxing, but you better enjoy his next few fights because Mayweather said that they will be the final fights of his career. Mayweather will be 38 years old for his next fight and he doesn’t want to fight much longer.
If he has his wish, Mayweather will hang up the gloves in September of 2015.
The news was passed along by ESPN’s SportsCenter:
Floyd Mayweather says his last fight will be in September 2015. He is expected to decide within a week on next opponent for bout in May.

As for his upcoming fight in May, it seems all but certain that the bout on May 3 will be a big fight against Amir Khan.
Argentinian WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana was also viewed as a possibility, but after Adrien Broner triggered the rematch clause in his contract the road is clear for Mayweather vs. Khan to go down.
With approximately four fights left in Floyd’s career, let’s hope he makes the biggest match ups possible.
