On his way to leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 127-121 victory over the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant took over the game and scored a career-high 54 points.

Now there might be some people out there, like say, LeBron James, who would assume that Durant was a volume shooter on this night. These folks might assume that he took 40-some shots in a high-scoring affair to get to 54 points.

Not so. He was efficient, shooting 19-28 and making 11 of 13 from the free-throw line. He also shot 5-for-9 from behind the arc.

When you’re making shots like this one, you really don’t need too many before you start racking up the points. This shot tied his career-high at 52 points.
