Make no mistake, Josh Smith is one of the most unique talents in the NBA – in a good way.

The guy can do things most can’t and fills up a stat sheet with video game numbers on a nightly basis. Of course, for all the positives he can bring, he does come with negatives. Say like his recent comments suggesting he doesn’t pay attention to his field goal percentage or well – this:

What in the hell was that? First off, why did Smith think it was okay to take the ball down court? He had two players trailing him who could have found themselves open for a pass. Beyond that though, once he crossed mid-court you would have assumed he would have given the rock up. But rather than do that, he called for a fake screen and then promptly fired up an inexplicable three-point shot just seconds into the possession. Seriously – there still had to be at least 17 seconds left on the shot clock.

Smith and his Pistons lost to the Utah Jazz by 21.
