Rangers pitcher Derek Holland has fantastic Harry Caray impression (Audio)

By now you’ve likely heard that Texas Rangers pitcher Derek Holland suffered a nasty microfracture injury last week – an injury that will sideline him until at least mid-season.

But the pitcher has been taking the injury (which he says was created by tripping over his dog) in stride, including being a guest on The Buzz which is hosted by Jimmy Traina of Fox Sports.

Traina asked Holland about the injury and for whatever reason, wondered if he’d recreate a play-by-play of the situation in his best Harry Caray voice.

Holland was understandably hesitant at first, not because he couldn’t mimic Caray but feared people would think he wasn’t taking the injury serious. Holland was eventually convinced though and belted out a fantastic rendition of Caray that would even make Will Ferrell proud.

He even tossed in a few Caray-like zingers, such as, ‘why does a dog have four legs’. Its a fantastic listen.

Holland, who already had a guest featured in the Dumb and Dumber sequel may have an acting career in his future.
