AFC Championship betting odds 2014: Broncos are slight favorite
By Josh Sanchez
On Sunday afternoon, the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos will be facing off for the Lamar Hunt AFC championship trophy at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. For the first time since 2006, the Patriots are an underdog in the postseason.
After the opening line had the Broncos favored by nearly a touchdown (6.5 points), the spread has closed as kickoff approaches.
On Bovada.lv, the line currently stands at Broncos (-4). The money line will give you the Broncos at -210, while the Patriots are listed at +175. The over/under for the AFC Championship game opened at 54.5, but that has since been raised to 57.
With two dynamic offenses and wounded defenses, the over/under will be the most intriguing play, but there is no guarantee — especially in postseason football.
