Cleveland Browns want second interview with Dan Quinn

The Cleveland Browns are the only team in the NFL that is currently without a head coach. Cleveland is believed to be targeting Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase, but they also have their eyes on another top coordinator who is preparing for a championship game later today.

On NFL Network’s GameDay Morning, Ian Rapoport passed along the news that Gase may not even interview with the Browns for their head coaching vacancy.

However, there is mutual interest with Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who previously interviewed for the job, and the Browns are hoping for a second interview.

Rapoport wrote:

Quinn has led the most impressive defense in the league this year, so you can understand why Cleveland would be interested. With the mutual interest, there is a real chance that he lands the job.

Unfortunately, if he declines, the Browns will move on to a less than impressive Plan B.
