LeBron James rooting for San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots

Looking at LeBron James‘ team allegiances, one might suggest he’s a front runner.

This is the same guy who roots for the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and suggested he was a Lakers fan and a Bulls fan, coinciding with each of their dynasties. This all from a guy who grew up in Ohio where one would presumably be a Browns, Cavaliers and Indians/Reds fan.

But maybe he’s just really good at picking his teams, which could be good news for the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots considering the Miami Heat superstar is rooting for both squads today.

James is good friends with San Francisco defensive back/safety Donte Whitner and I’m guessing good friends with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, as he wished both good luck today on Instagram.

It’s certainly a little odd to see a Cowboys fan rooting for the 49ers given their history. Granted it was a while back and James wasn’t old enough to partake in that rivalry, but still – you’d think he’d root for the lesser of the two evils.
