Lucian Bute vs. Jean Pascal results, GIFs and highlights

Pascal landed a big right hand upstairs the start the seventh and Bute continued to sit back and take the shots without throwing any dangerous counters. Bute backed up against the ropes and ate more shots before the two men headed to the center of the ring. It was another round for Pascal as Bute showed no sense of urgency.
At the pace the fight was going, Pascal could simply coast for the remainder of the fight and pick up an easy win, but he kept coming forward as he peppered Bute and the swelling on Bute’s face began to worsen. Pascal looked like he earned a knockdown with thirty seconds to go, but the referee ruled it a slip. The ruling seemed to bring more urgency to Pascal as he finished off the round with another flurry.
Bute’s corner urged him to begin working his jab and uppercut in the final rounds, but Bute appeared to have no confidence.
Pascal was comfortable heading into Round 9 and opened with a heavy body shot , before working the right uppercut/left hook combination once again. Bute found a little success with his offense after backing Pascal in the corner, but he delivered few significant blows. Round 9 was a little closer than the previous ones, but Pascal still gets the edge.
Pascal was having so much fun in the fight that he even attempted a double-punch.
It was the most impressive that Pascal has looked in his previous fights and you could tell he was feeling the performance as he was running away with the fight. A head butt caused the round to get off to a slow start. Pascal coasted a bit in the eighth and looked away from his opponent as he allowed Bute to hit him a few times at the end of the round. Bute did enough to finally win another round.
Pascal was backed into the corner in Round 11 and allowed Bute to pepper away at him, but he was just trying to get Bute comfortable before exploding with another combination just before the bell as we prepared for the final round.
The fight was 108-101 for Pascal on our scorecard, heading into the 12th and final round.
Bute landed some heavy shots at the beginning of Round 12 with Pascal once again backed into the corner and Pascal appeared to finally be in some trouble. However, Pascal circled out of the corner and began to unload on Bute. Bute was landed his best shots of the night in the final frame and Pascal was getting hurt from some of the shots, but it was too little too late as Pascal did enough in the early rounds to come away with the decision on our cards.
