It’s been two plus seasons since Grady Sizemore played in a Major League game, but that hasn’t stopped teams from showing interest in the outfielder.
Sizemore was once thought to be a future star in the Cleveland Indians organization but injuries derailed his career. Now a 31-year-old veteran coming off multiple season ending injuries, Sizemore is looking to revive his career and multiple teams are interested in helping him do so. One team though who seeming has an edge are the Cincinnati Reds, who according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, are in advanced discussions on a contract with Sizemore.
#Reds in advanced talks with Grady Sizemore, but still possible that he will go in another direction. Other teams involved.
What type of deal he’d be receiving is unknown, though given his recent injury history and the fact the Reds are near their salary ceiling, one wouldn’t assume it would be more than a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite.
We will update any details on a possible contract as they come through.
