The Tennessee Titans hired UCLA defensive coordinator Lou Spanos away from the Bruins on Saturday, which leaves the team in search of a new coach to run their defense. However, it doesn’t appear that the coaching search will last very long.

According to a report from CoachingSearch.com, the Bruins plan on naming linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich as their new defensive coordinator.

Ulbrich is also the special teams coach at UCLA and the team hopes that promoting him will allow the Bruins to avoid any additional fallout from recruits after the departure of Spanos.

The UCLA defense improved greatly last season with a star-studded group of linebackers, so they will hope that the defensive unit can continue their upward trend.
