Seahawks' Richard Sherman and 49ers' Michael Crabtree get into at end of game (GIF)

The Seattle Seahawks sealed their trip to the Super Bowl when Richard Sherman broke up a pass intended for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the end zone with seconds left in the game. Sherman then confronted Crabtree and got in his face, which led to Crabtree pushing Sherman away.

It probably stems from these comments Crabtree made about the best cornerback in the league, snubbing Richard Sherman in the process. Crabtree wouldn’t acknowledge that Sherman was the best when asked about it.

“I don’t know (anything) about the best cornerbacks in the league. I just know teams, you know. We are playing the Seattle Seahawks and hopefully we come out with a win. We are going hard.”

He would acknowledge that the Seahawks have a pretty good defense.

“They move around, they are pretty good, pretty good,” Crabtree said. “They are a good football team. We got some good guys too. So it is going to be a good game.”

This is what happened:

and he said good game. i want to hear that crazy rant during that little interview pretty sure he was cursing or I’m deaf.

    • Wyatt

He did say the F word and I think it should result in a few game
suspension Starting with the super bowl. Its amazing to see how classy
guys like Manning and Tom Brady can be, And we have someone that cant
control there words like Richard Sherman. The NFL is sensor a gun
commercial they better hold its players to a standard and show kids its
not ok to act like Richard Sherman acted.

      • Terence Byrd

Uhh where did he use the “F” word? Didn’t hear that or see a bleep for an expletive. In any case for the people judging the man, it looks to me he when up to Crabtree and tried to show sportsmanship and got his facemask push, yet we want to condemn his words but think Crabtree’s actions are okay… Right

        • Don

40whiners were not complaining about fagernick doing the super man. How boldin got fined for helmet to helmet.

        • BammaDude

That wasn’t sportsmanship, that was gloating and is extremely aggravating. Crabtree mushing him was very generous because I would have tackled him.

I dunno what planet you are on but NFL players curse on the field the entire game and so do the coaches. It amazes me how people expect these world class athletes that are modern day gladiators to bash each other for 60 minutes then get shocked when they show emotions like anger.

  • BammaDude

Crabtree handled himself very well. Sherman looked like an absolute fool in that post game interview. Take the win as a man and quit gloating like a little boy.

    • Aaron Gevock

who are you to judge. he is the best cb in the game, and all crabtree could do to him was talk bs to him to try to throw him off. alot of steam as they are Grown Men going at it for a trip to the super bowl. ik Sherman wishes that statement back, but this is a classic example of how the NFL might not survive. between hard hits and smack talk. wuss americans cant take it anymore. fans used to relish that stuff.

      • Jeff McCabe

Actually, fans used to relish sportsmanship.

      • BammaDude

My son throws a temper tantrum after losing his little baseball game and doesn’t want to shake the winning teams hands, he sits out a couple games while watching his team on the field until I feel he deserves to play. And he is a little boy.

        • Mob Heata

He didn’t shake his hand because it wasn’t sincere sportsmanship, Crabtree ain’t dumb to play with She-man’s games.

      • Keg

Who are you to judge Sherman as the best CB in the league?

      • Mob Heata

No he is not, Champ Bailey is with 12 Pro-Bowl appearances. Get your game right, just because someone says their the best don’t mean they are.

    • Vincent Sok

Too bad the refs didn’t agree with you. Yellow flag comes out, 15 yards on unsportsman like conduct on offense number 15 after the play.

      • BammaDude

We must have been watching two different games because the ref did agree with me, Sherman was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, not Crabtree.

      • Keg

Well, you’re wrong. So, you’ve got that going for you.

  • Dash_426

Next Richard Sherman will sign a contract with WWE.

Richard Sherman suffers from malignant narcissistic personality disorder. He acts like a child that believes he is the center of the universe. Another big part of the problem with Sherman is that he takes that Adderall garbage. Adderall is literally mixed amphetamine salts. Not only does it enhance your perceived sense of self and strength, it tends to make people aggressive, irritable and ultra loquacious. Whenever I’ve taken Adderall, I become super talkative and argumentative with others. It makes me highly egocentric much like Sherman. Adderall is his problem. Listen to his voice at the end of the video. He’s quivering from CNS overstimulation. Sherman is not joking. He’s legitimately angry. It’s the Adderall he’s on. How do you think he survived at Stanford? Adderall man. Sherman is a cheater at school and sports. google Sherman and Adderall to find out more about this punk.

    • Obama Lied People Died

one of the 40 whiners sounds upset. waah. see you next year.

    • jaag

is the video you want us to google going to show Richard Sherman making a play to send his team to the superbowl ? You suffer from denial. Shhh….erman

In between plays watching close ups of players screaming and thumping their chests to keep themselves in the fever pitch of adrenaline induced violence required of this game today absolutely sickens me. Seeing Sherman’s and the other criminals on both teams behavior after the game proves this league gone so far astray it’s scary.

Yet you continue to watch it Lester. That makes you the sick one.

    • Tash R.

Ohh, so now they’re criminals? Absolutely Asinine….

  • Marco Graziani

Nobody is really addressing the fact that the reason Sherman had to leap and stretch out to bat away the ball is that he let his receiver beat him deep the corner and if it were a better throw it would have been a TD. Not only that, if it weren’t for a linebacker (Malcolm Smith) who hustled 30yards down field and was in position for a tip, the 49′ners would have had at least one more play. Sherman made a great play and he needs to know what the term “professional” means.

    • Seahawk Man

i think you also missed the push in the back by crabtree to get “open.” let’s at least be honest here.

  • Keg

The incident in the GIF did not happen at the end of the game. The incident in question happened directly after the interception, and is also what got Sherman a 15 yard personal foul–Unsportsman-like Conduct. Sherman was not going up to Crabtree after the game to say “good job”, Sherman was going to rub the interception in Crabtree’s face. Real Classy.

Way to distort the truth though.
