Two athletes have been added to Team USA for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. After the snowboard halfpipe Olympic qualifier in Mammoth Mountain, Calif., Arielle Gold and Kaitlyn Farrington earned berths on the USA snowboarding team.

With Farrington and Gold taking two spots on the snowboarding team, the USA women’s snowboarding squad will look much different in 2014 than it did in 2006 and 2010.

Out of Hannah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler and Elena Hight, who were previously on both teams, two of the women will not be competing in Sochi.

Despite the youth of the USA team, they are still expected to do very well in the Winter Games.

For Gold, the Olympics will be a family affair as she will joined by her older brother, Taylor, on the USA snowboarding team.
