Sochi Olympics 2014: Lolo Jones, Lauryn Williams make USA bobsled team

Lolo Jones has finally secured a spot on the Team USA bobsledding team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia next month. Lolo was chosen along with Lauryn Williams to be two of the three push athletes for the United States Olympic squad.

Aja Evans will serve as the third push athlete for the Americans.

The three drivers will be Jamie Greubel, Elana Meyers and Jazmine Fenlator. The driver/push athlete combinations for next month have yet to be determined.

Jones is a former Olympic sprinter, but she has never been able to medal on the world’s biggest stage. She will look to reverse her luck in Sochi when she hits the bobsledding course for Team USA.

The United States will have a real shot at winning two medals in bobsledding during the Sochi games, as they attempt to contribute to the U.S.A.’s medal count.
