Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze and his Rebels continue to recruit at a high level.
On Saturday, the Rebels received a commitment from three-star tight end Sammie Epps.
Epps originally committed to the Rebels back in March.
However, after the Mississippi State Bulldogs offered Epps last month, he decided to think things over and decommitted. Epps decided to take a look at the Bulldogs and the SEC Champion Auburn Tigers, who were defeated by the Florida State Seminoles 34-31 in the BCS National Championship earlier this month.
Less than two weeks ago, Epps named Ole Miss his leader and on Saturday, he decided to put an end to the recruiting process.
“I’ve always been a Rebel, I just wanted to experience other colleges and the recruitment process,” Epps told David Johnson of 24/7 Sports. “I thought that was the right way to do it.”
Epps will need to put some weight on his 6’3, 210 lb. frame.
According to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings, Epps is the 474th best player and 17th best tight end in the class of 2014.
