As the crew over at Rivals gets ready to release their Top 100 list this coming Monday, there are a few more players that are being given that coveted 5-star label, and now you can add Florida State Seminoles running back commit Dalvin Cook to that list.

Cook was a nice surprise for the FSU 2014 recruiting class right before the new year, as he made his commitment official back on December 31. Rivals pointed out most of the reasons that the Seminoles are excited about this young man coming in and potentially getting some early playing time when explaining their decision.

Given what the defending national champions are losing in the backfield with Devonta Freeman and James Wilder Jr. heading off to the NFL, there’s a good chance that Cook will make an instant impact in Tallahassee.

College football is rapidly becoming just like college basketball……one and done. Coaches will need to reload after every season and the better they do, the more they will have to recruit a whole new class of replacements. This guy might be a star but he will be a very short-lived star.
