The UConn Huskies suffered a tough loss on Saturday night in the American Athletic Conference when they went down to the Louisville Cardinals. They made a run in the second half to try and come back, which was made all the more impressive by the fact that they didn’t have their head coach, Kevin Ollie.
Ollie was ejected in the second half of the loss. Now, you never condone a coach taking something so far that he gets himeslf ejected from the game, but Ollie had every reason in the world to be upset with the referees about the issue.
Again, you don’t condone how far Ollie took this one, but man what was that referee thinking not blowing the whistle on that one?
Also, referee Mike Stuart calling the technical on Ollie once for charging down the court to argue was probably enough. There was no reason to give him the second that warranted the ejection.
Referees. They ruin everything.
