The Golden State Warriors are one of the youngest and fastest rising teams in the NBA. But just because their roster is full of young stars, doesn’t mean the team isn’t willing to go vintage with the guests they allow inside the locker room. Comedian Dave Chappelle stopped by the Warriors locker room to hang out with Stephen Curry and the rest of the team.
Chappelle hasn’t been heard from much on the entertainment scene, although he is touring once again. He seems like an odd fit in the Warriors young locker room, but he meshed right in with the players who were happy to see him drop by.
For perspective, Chappelle got his first big film role in 1993’s Robin Hood: Man in Tights, a year in which the Warriors star point guard turned 5-years old. Chappelle’s hit Comedy Central show got famous in the early 2000s though, which means Curry was at the age to appreciate it and watch it.
Chappelle is a noted Warriors fan though, so hanging out in the team’s locker room is likely something we can expect more and more as Golden State continues to rise.
