Heat at Hawks final score: Atlanta wins 121-114

In what was one of the most exciting, high-scoring games of the season, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Miami Heat 121-114 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia Monday evening.

Paul Millsap led the Hawks with 26 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal. DeMarre Carroll added 19 points and six rebounds, Perp Antic had 17 points and six rebounds and Kyle Korver had 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals.

LeBron James had 30 points, six assists and four rebounds and Chris Bosh had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Heat.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Heat cut a six-point lead to two after James made a three-point play with 1:12 to play. However, the Hawks answered on the next possession when Millsap found Korver open in the corner for three. After James missed a three, Korver hit two more free throws, effectively ending the game.

The four Hawks’ bench players gave them a huge lift – Shelvin Mack, who played down the stretch instead of Jeff Teague, had 13 points, seven assists and three rebounds, Lou Williams and Mike Scott scored 12 points apiece and Elton Brand had eight points and five rebounds.

Mario Chalmers had 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals and Ray Allen scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists.

The Hawks are now 21-19 while the Heat are 29-12.
