Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Malcolm Bunche will be taking himself from the east coast to the west coast as, according to his father, the senior will be transferring to the UCLA Bruins for the 2014 season.
Bunche’s father, Curtis, broke the news about his son to the Miami Herald.
“I talked to Malcolm last night for quite a while,” Curtis Bunche told the Miami Herald, “and he was very impressed with his overall experience with the trip there to UCLA, the tour of the campus, his conversation with the head coach and offensive coordinator – and even more so his offensive line coach [Adrian Klemm].”
Bunche started all 12 games for the Hurricanes in the 2012 season, as opposed to only one this past season. Because of that, he has decided to go test his talents for head coach Jim Mora and the Bruins.
Also, and more importantly, Bunche has already graduated from Miami with a degree and will be immediately eligible to take the field for UCLA this upcoming season.
