It’s fair to say Dirk Nowitzki just wouldn’t look right in another uniform, which is why it’s good news the German sharpshooter will likely be staying in Dallas, this after Dirk himself said he plans to re-sign with the Mavericks moving forward.
According to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, Nowitzki said he plans to likely re-sign with the Mavericks for two or three years.
Dirk Nowitzki in an interview with Sport1 said that in the summer he will likely re-sign with Mavs for 2 or three years
How much Dirk plans to sign for is unknown.
Both Dirk and owner Mark Cuban have talked about a plan that would allow them to sign key free agents in the past and with Dallas set to have massive cap space this coming Summer, it’s entirely possible the veteran could take a cheap deal giving the Mavericks ample space for free agents.
Currently the Mavericks have $24 million dollars committed for next season, though nearly nine of that is wrapped up in non-guaranteed salaries for Brandan Wright and Samuel Dalembert who could be bought out.
