It sounds like the New England Patriots may want to start printing up some LeGarrette Blount jerseys fast.

After selling out of the running backs uniform, the Patriots seemingly have discovered a diamond in the rough with Blount who the team reportedly is looking to re-sign, this according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

"Quick #Patriots note: RB LeGarrette Blount said he’d like to return to New England. My understand is the feeling is mutual. Would make sense"

The Patriots aren’t typical in the fashion that they don’t seem overly desired to secure themselves a franchise running back, rather preferring to have a collection of talent they can rotate in.

Still – it’s hard to deny what Blount has done in recent weeks when given an opportunity.

There’s no talk of any money as of this point though Blount understandably isn’t going to break the bank, be it with New England or any other interested team in free agency.

Meanwhile, somewhere Stevan Ridley weeps in a quiet, dark corner – likely fumbling whatever he has in his hands.
