The NBA reportedly would like to see Indiana Pacers forward Paul George participate in this year’s Slam Dunk Competition during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans this year, but George remains undecided on whether or not he will take the court.

There were previous reports that George did not want to participate, but now he has said that he will be keeping his options open.

For George, it will all depend on what other players decide to participate as well.

“I haven’t declined,” George said,  via Scott Agness of “I’m keeping my options open. It would all depend on who’s in it. I want to be in it when the competition is good.”

It would be unfortunate if George declined the offer from the league, but you couldn’t blame him if he passes.

The Slam Dunk competition has lost most of it’s appeal and very few stars participate, so we will just have to continue watching this dunk from George and wonder what could have been:
