The Michigan Wolverines have lost a commitment from one of the best players in the class of 2015.

Five-star running back Damien Harris decommitted from the Wolverines.

Steve Lorenz of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.

Harris, who was offered after a strong camp showing a couple summers ago, is a five-star prospect who is coveted by pretty much every program in the country. He was also the first offer the Wolverines made in the 2015 class.

Per his mother, Michigan is still the school to beat at this point.

“Michigan is still very much #1 right now,” she said.

The 5’11, 205-pound Harris committed to Michigan back  in April, but has continued to be courted by several schools, including the Ohio State Buckeyes and hometown Kentucky Wildcats – Harris attends Madison Southern High School in Berea, Kentucky.

Harris also has offers from the Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, Penn State Nittany Lions and South Carolina Gamecocks, among others.

According to 24/7 Sports composite rankings, Harris is the 25th best overall player, second best running back and the top player in Kentucky in the class of 2015.
