Hilarious t-shirt mocks Detroit Lions as ‘Conference Participants’ (Photo)

The Detroit Lions looked poised for a playoff birth this season and even were deemed as the best team in the NFL according to Fox Sports analyst and former head coach, Jimmy Johnson.

But soon after that proclamation, the Lions season went south and the poor play eventually lead to Detroit missing the playoffs yet again – something Motown fans are all too familiar with.

Outside of a postseason birth in 2011 (a Wild Card round loss), the Lions have not made the playoffs since 1999 and haven’t won a playoff game since 1991. Understandably, fans are frustrated – so frustrated in fact they’ve decided to wear their disappointment.

Case in point? This hilarious ‘Conference Participants’ t-shirt created by Alternative Hero, a shirt which in essence mocks the franchise for their recent failures.

Printed up to look like a shirt that would be given out to a team who had just won their division/playoff game, the tee even features the Lions logo re-worked into a playful kitten.

Epic stuff.
