Indiana at Michigan State final score: Spartans hold off Hoosiers for 71-66 win

Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans are still unbeaten in Big Ten Conference play as they were able to hold off a valiant effort from the Indiana Hoosiers on Tuesday night to get the win, 71-66.

Indiana came out of the game surging, even taking a one-point lead into the half at 28-27, making it look as if an upset may be on the horizon for the third-ranked team in the country in Michigan State,

However, the Spartans were able to pull it together in the second half and outscore the Hoosiers 44-38 the rest of the way to get the win.

Once again, with Adreian Payne missing his fourth straight game, Gary Harris put the team on his back and led them through this one, dropping in 24 points on the night with two rebounds and five steals. With Payne out, Harris has had not problem lately taking the load on himself and keeping Michigan State unbeaten in conference play as we head toward February.

With the win, Michigan State moves to 18-1 overall on the season and will now get set for a date with the rival Michigan Wolverines coming up next.
