NBA Rumors: Players, coaches feel Carmelo Anthony will leave Knicks

It’s been said a look is worth a thousand words. Well, if Carmelo Anthony‘s glares off the New York Knicks bench on Monday night translated into anything, it might have been more of a novel than a thousand words. The Knicks star was throwing shade unmatched by umbrellas in a sunny day and according to Frank Isola of the Daily News, Melo’s time in New York is quickly evaporating as the general consensus among fellow players and coaches is that Anthony will leave the Knicks at season end.

The general feeling among NBA players and coaches is that Anthony will walk, even if it means leaving $30 million on the table. LeBron James took less money to secure a championship future in Miami and Anthony has already been quoted this season as saying that James was “smart” to make such a move.

Rumors of Anthony ready to leave the Knicks aren’t exactly new, though you have to wonder how much smoke is billowing before it turns into a full fledged fire.

Do you take the risk of Melo leaving at season end, FanSided? Or do you trade him before February’s deadline?

Lebron,Howard, now Carmelo. If you cannot see Carmelo escaping, you are blind.Trade him now,for best possible package, before the Knicks get nothing in return when he leaves. The knicks cannot win with Melo, they can lose without him,REBUILD!Dolan (billionare)should overpay to steal the Spurs scouting team.If he can overpay for scrubs(Smith,Stoudemire whom rebounds like a girl)he might as well pay for someone that knows what they are doing.
