Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor left the team to take over as the offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins, so Chip Kelly and company needed to fill the void left by Lazor on their coaching staff.

That man will be former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave.

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports passed along the news on Tuesday:

It is certainly an interesting choice for the Eagles, considering Musgrave’s struggles to get anything out of Christian Ponder, Josh Freeman or Matt Cassel.

We will have to see whether or not it was the right choice, but if the way that Musgrave used Cordarrelle Patterson and Percy Harvin is any indication, we could see an unhappy DeSean Jackson in our future.
