A few weeks ago, it was announced that Quentin Tarantino would be directing another western that would be called The Hateful Eight. Not much was known about the script other than it looked to be another spaghetti western homage flick much like the Oscar winning Django Unchained was.
But Deadline is now reporting that someone Tarantino gave the script to leaked it which has resulted in a very pissed off Tarantino refusing to do the film.
I gave it to three actors: Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth. The one I know didn’t do this is Tim Roth. One of the others let their agent read it and that agent has now passed it on to everyone in Hollywood. I don’t know how these fucking agents work, but I’m not making this next. I’m going to publish it, and that’s it for now. I give it out to six people and if I can’t trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it. I’ll publish it. I’m done. I’ll move on to the next thing. I’ve got ten more where that came from.”
This now throws Tarantino’s next project up into the air, as a Kill Bill threequel will now inevitably be discussed to death again by his fans. The question though is who leaked the script, as this almost seems like a Tarantino movie playing out in real life.
