Senior Bowl quarterbacks will deal with high winds on Tuesday

It is Senior Bowl week in Mobile, Alabama, with a number of the top senior prospects in the 2014 NFL Draft class working out for NFL scouts and personnel members. One of the most interesting groups to watch is always the quarterbacks, but Tuesday’s practice could prove to be an interesting evaluation.

When the teams take the field for practice, 20 mile per hour winds are expected to be sweeping through Mobile.

For quarterbacks on the North squad — Clemson’s Tajh Boyd, Logan Thomas of Virginia Tech and Miami’s Stephen Morris — the wind should not be a factor. All three players have strong arms, but it will still be interesting to see how they are able to handle the elements.

On the South squad, quarterbacks like Jimmy Garoppolo of Eastern Illinois and San Jose State’s David Fales will be able to prove that they have the ability to throw the ball through the wind.

While teams who play in domes will have an interesting evaluation on Tuesday, teams who play in cold weather stadiums will be watching closely.
