Witness says Richard Sherman attempted to fight Michael Crabtree

On Monday morning, news broke suggesting a good portion of the bad blood between San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree and Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman was due to a near fight between the two during a charity event for Arizona Cardinals wideout, Larry Fitzgerald.

Sherman’s brother suggested that the Seahawks defender approached Crabtree in effort to shake his hand, but Crabtree attempted to start a fight.

However, according to a source without ties to either player, it was Sherman who attempted to fight Crabtree.

Per NJ.com:

“The handshake part is legit,” the source said, “but it was Sherman who tried to start the fight with Crabtree. I remember ’cause Sherman kept getting in his face and Crabtree was just laughing about it.”

The source wasn’t aware of what started the ruckus or who said what, but said it was Sherman who appeared to be the instigator.
