On Wednesday morning, the WNBA announced that the 2014 WNBA All-Star Game presented by Boost Mobile will be hosted in Phoenix on July 19. The game will be airing on ESPN.

The WNBA made the announcement on Twitter:

This will be the second time that the WNBA All-Star Game will be hosted by the Phoenix Mercury. The last time the game was held in Phoenix was 2000, when the West took down the East, 73-61. Tina Thompson took home the MVP honors.

The Eastern Conference has only won the all-star game three times, so they will be looking to win their second game in the past three seasons and begin bucking the trend.
